We made it home about 6:00 tonight after a long drive home from Denver. We split the trip up into 2 days, staying the night in Albuquerque. We got up for breakfast, a quick swim in the hotel pool, and the long drive home. We are now sweating on the couch, having turned our A/C off for the week. Our house was over 100 degrees when we got home. Three and a half hours later, it is 94 degrees. I think it will be a long night.
So to pass the time until it's a little cooler, here's the rest of our vacation.
On Friday, we went to the splash pad.

We ate dinner at Famous Dave's, where Kyle made a mess, as usual.

Then we had ice cream at the park with my Schenck cousins and my aunt and uncle.
On Saturday we visited my mom's office in downtown Denver. Here's the view from the 24th floor.

Then we walked around the 16th Street mall, buying a few little things and enjoying a bagel lunch at Einstein Bros.

We drove to a park for dinner and a concert with my Campbell cousins and my uncle. It ended up raining, and we had two scary incidents- Emma wandered off in a group of kids so no one saw her go, and then my cousin's 2 year old daughter fell into the lake and had to be pulled out. So we called it a night.
Sunday was for packing, goodbyes, and half of a long drive. And of course, almost every day included a swim in the pool at my mom's apartment complex.
Thanks Mom for the great time in Denver. Thanks Babbel family for getting together on our behalf (it'll probably be another 10 years until I see you again!) And thank you, Kyle and Emma for being angels in the car.
Down to 93 degrees..... sigh.....
